Five stages, each one approved before the next.

A structured process front-loads the thinking: the plan is resolved before materials are chosen, and materials are chosen before anything is ordered or built. It also gives you defined moments to change your mind cheaply.

Consultation & brief

We start with the site, the brief and the way you will use the building — plot conditions, developer or community guidelines, programme, budget range and timeline.

Concept design

Zoning, spatial planning and massing, with an early material and colour direction. You see the idea in plan and in three dimensions before anything is fixed.

Design development

Layouts, elevations, sections and visualisation are refined together until proportion, circulation and light are right — and the scheme meets the authority or developer requirements.

Approve the developed scheme, or ask for changes while they are still inexpensive.

Detailed design & FF&E

Technical drawings, joinery details, finishes, lighting and furniture specification — the package a contractor and joiner can build from without guesswork.

Coordination on site

We work alongside consultants, suppliers and contractors, reviewing shop drawings and samples so the built result matches the approved design.

After you enquire

What happens next

  1. You send a few details. Location, scope, rough budget and timeline — as much as you know.
  2. Anne replies personally, usually within two working days, to arrange a consultation by call or in person.
  3. You receive a written proposal setting out scope, stages, deliverables and fee, so nothing is ambiguous before work begins.
FAQ

Working with the studio

Do I have to commit to the whole process?

No. Each stage is approved before the next begins, and commissions can stop at a natural point — for example concept design only, or design through to a tender package.

How involved do I need to be?

Most clients are closely involved at three moments: the brief, the concept presentation, and the selection of finishes and furniture. Between those, the studio works and comes back with resolved options rather than open questions.

What if I already have drawings?

Send them. We will review what exists, say what is usable, and start from the stage the project has genuinely reached.

Who deals with the contractor?

You appoint the contractor directly. We provide the drawings and specifications they build from, review their shop drawings and samples, and answer site queries so the built result matches the design.
