The approach
Because the studio is architectural, interiors begin with the plan: how rooms connect, where light falls through the day, how a space is entered. Furniture and finishes come after those decisions, not instead of them.
The palette is warm and material-led — stone, timber, plaster, bronze and brass — chosen to age well rather than to date with a trend. Every project is drawn and specified in detail, from flooring patterns to the inside of a wardrobe.

How a interior design commission runs

Consultation & brief
We start with the site, the brief and the way you will use the building — plot conditions, developer or community guidelines, programme, budget range and timeline.

Concept design
Zoning, spatial planning and massing, with an early material and colour direction. You see the idea in plan and in three dimensions before anything is fixed.
- 03
Design development
Layouts, elevations, sections and visualisation are refined together until proportion, circulation and light are right — and the scheme meets the authority or developer requirements.
- 04
Detailed design & FF&E
Technical drawings, joinery details, finishes, lighting and furniture specification — the package a contractor and joiner can build from without guesswork.
- 05
Coordination on site
We work alongside consultants, suppliers and contractors, reviewing shop drawings and samples so the built result matches the approved design.

Interior Design — common questions
What does an interior designer actually do?
An interior designer plans how a space works and how it looks — the layout, circulation, lighting, materials, joinery and furniture — then documents it so it can be built and installed correctly. Our work also covers the architectural side where the building itself needs to change.
Do you take on single rooms, or only whole homes?
Both. A kitchen, a main bedroom or a single living room is a valid project, and it is often how a longer relationship starts.
Can you work with my contractor?
Yes. We regularly work alongside a client's existing contractor, joiner or engineering consultant, and we provide the drawings and specifications they need to build the design as intended.
